The original company was founded in 1880 in Florence , has always operated in the field of aromatic herbs and colonial spices, importing directly from the countries of origin. In 1987 the Carapelli / Barbagli family (already owners of Carapelli olive oil) took control of the company and the company name was changed to the current Drogheria & Alimentari . In January 2003 he took over a company specializing in the industrial sector with a production unit located in the Veneto region. In January 2004 he took over Maribù, a primary company of decorations for sweets with a production unit located in Lombardy. It is currently all brought together in the new and very modern factory located in San Piero a Sieve (Florence) of 34,000 square meters, of which 12,000 are covered.
